it was, as always, amazing.
we've been at the venue a 5 p.m., expecting at least some other freaky fanatics to be there.
but they were not :)
so, there were no obstacles on our way to the first row.
actually, there havent been any people dressed up.
some had eye-liner drawings or something, resembling amanda's but that was it.
except for us, of course.
we have been filmed, and maybe were on a late-night show on tv, but we werent home yet.
she played until 12 pm and we had to leave without having much chances of talking to any of the performers.
lisa and i hugged one of the guys of the danger ensemble, though, since he asked us to :)
that time i could talk, but i guess if amanda had been there i would have been just as dumbfounded as back then, at the frequency festival.
but we were in a hurry, and had to catch the last subway train, otherwise we would have had to wait on the street until 4 when public transport starts again.

it all started at 8, with jason webley, who still appears to me like a homeless street musician (which he is, more or less :) and zoe keating, who is absolutely mind-blowing and brilliant.
when you hear her music you feel like an intruder to her own private world.
her unique technique of recording herself, then by pushing a button repeating the last chords, notes or whatever she wanted to, occasionally with her eyes closed.
she got one of my roses.
after her pre-show appearance, she came back with that - my - rose in her hair.
we went flower - shopping, not being suitably prepared anyway, to have at least some kind of present or reward, and to stand out of the crowd. what we did anyway.
an old lady with a voice, creaky like that of an old lady selling flowers should be, i asked her what kind of flowers those white ones were, they looked like lilies to me.
immediately she said, wait, (hard to say that in english, with her talking in that viennese polite-old-lady-language) follow me, i got something.
she showed me several bouquets of roses, and i said i'd like the white ones.
maybe the pink ones, they are very nice.
no, i'd prefer the white ones.
and there, we have them in yellow, is it for her?
um, no, i think the white ones are best.
finally we got them, even without thorns, a problem i had not thought of before.

then, there was that nearly broken chair (nearly, because you could still sit on it) standing in front of the Szene, beside the trash cans.
it was, lazy as we are, occupied by us until entrance time (?)
they had the same chairs on stage, and we assume that it was one of them.
we had best view of the tour bus, with people going in and out all the time, but we didnt catch even a glimpse of amanda, because she was already inside. we saw nearly all of the other crew members, though.

i took some, even though i dont like to say it about my own photos, awesome, good, fascinating pictures, an armslength away from her.
the danger ensemble had to carry her around on stage, with her foot in a huge cast/bandage construction.

amanda talked a lot :)
and we were standing directly in front of her.
i handed her a rose, personally and was given a look - smile combination, while i simply threw the rest of the bouquet.
made me wonder if she remembered our last awkward meeting.
one of her stories, she told it while going through the "Ask Amanda" box, was about Oasis.
she met them on some festival and asked 'the blond guy'
"what's your name?"
and he looked at her like "wtf?"
hehe
